Starting in Summer 2025, SUNY Fredonia is participating in the SUNY Managed Print Initiative. Fredonia's implementation of this initiative, called FREDprint, will give users access to more printers on campus while reducing costs and waste.
Due to the campus transition to FREDprint, the way you print at Reed Library has changed.
Go to: fredprint.fredonia.edu
Log in with your Fredonia username & password. If you have not yet created a passcode, click on the yellow banner at the top to do so.
Upload Your File
Click “Upload” in the top right. Select the file you want to print.
Print It Out
Head to any FREDprint station on campus. Tap your FredCard or enter your code to release your print.
.DOC, .PDF, OR .DOCX
UP TO 60 MB
If you are a Community Member not otherwise affiliated with the University, follow these steps to access FREDprint at Reed Library:
1. Obtain a Community Login user name and password from the Circulation Desk.
2. Log in to a Community Computer (located at the computer table closest to the Circulation Desk).
3. Log in to Pharos Print and follow the prompts to set up Microsoft Authenticator.
4. Once logged in to Pharos Print, make note of your passcode.
5. Open the document you wish to print and select FREDprint Secure Release as your printer.
6. Retrieve your print from the Black & White or Color printer using your Pharos Print passcode.
From a library PC, select FREDprint Secure Release as your printer.
After you click Print, the Pharos Print window will pop up and prompt you to log in. Click Login to Continue.
IMPORTANT: A passcode will appear on the screen and be sent to your Fredonia email. Keep this code handy, as it will be used to release your prints from a FREDprint station if you forget your FredCard.
Tap your FredCard on the card reader or enter your Pharos Print passcode.
Tap Print All to release all of your documents, or use the options on the screen to select or modify your prints.
If your passcode does not appear onscreen after logging in to Pharos Print, you might have already completed this step. Check your email for your passcode. Enter "Pharos" in your email search bar to easily locate the code.
If you have forgotten or lost your Pharos Print passcode, simply log in to the Pharos Print app and reset your passcode.
Each time you print from a new PC in the library lab or another lab on campus, you will be prompted to log in to the Pharos Print app. Although your passcode will remain the same, it will not be displayed onscreen.
