Powered by The Art Genome Project, Artsy hopes to foster new generations of art lovers, museum-goers, collectors, and patrons. It partners with 500+ leading galleries, as well as 100+ museums and foundations to make the world’s art accessible to anyone. Provides one of the largest collections of contemporary art available online.
Art UK
Over 200,000 works of art from museums, universities, and other venues, from the Shetland Islands to the Isles of Scilly. Much of the art isn’t usually on display in real life and a high proportion had not been photographed prior to 2003.
Europeana
A digital library of over 50 million items, including images, texts, audio and video, from European museums, galleries, libraries, archives and audio-visual collections. Google Arts and Culture

Library of Congress - Prints and Photographs Online Catalog
The Library of Congress' American Memory project includes about nine million items in various formats, many of them images. When an image is considered to be in the public domain, immediate free download of a high resolution file directly from the web site is often permitted.
