Faculty Services & Resources: Embedded Librarianship Program

Overview

For Fall 2020, Reed Library Instruction Services will be completely online through the new Embedded Librarianship Program.  Replacing our traditional, face-to-face Library Instruction Program for the foreseeable future, this new program provides you the chance to collaborate with a faculty librarian to enhance the student experience in your courses. In partnering with a librarian, your students will not only have greater access to library services and resources but an additional support system as they move through their research-based courses and beyond.

Some services include:

  • Synchronous and asynchronous virtual instruction sessions
  • Custom library research guides tailored to your courses' research assignments
  • Online open office hours with an assigned librarian
  • Online individual research appointments with an assigned librarian
  • Librarian facilitated research discussion forums built directly into your OnCourse course
  • Additional opportunities to encourage students to find authoritative, scholarly sources
  • Assistance embedding tutorials, information literacy modules, as well as additional content to support learning in your OnCourse course

To request any of these services or a consultation with a Research & Information Literacy Librarian, please fill out the Embedded Librarianship Request Form

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Information Literacy Team at InfoLit@fredonia.edu.

We look forward to working with you and your students this coming semester.
